From the desk of Chairperson

It is a great satisfaction every time I look back to our past achievements and always set newer targets each preceding year. More outstandingly we have been able to touch and change more lives and bring out a smile in their faces and restore all their basic rights. We strongly believe that strengthening community systems is the only way to sustain all development efforts. Hard work is the key to success, but without proper guidance, it can’t assure the positivity of result. We seek a world of hope, tolerance and social justice, where poverty has been overcome and people live in dignity and security.

The thousands of needy children who used to run away in streets to waste their valuable period of time, doing nothing in an entire day such children are the targeted group of our organization. As I stand here, from this wonderful perspective, I take the pleasure in welcoming you to Nepal Matri Griha; an organization dedicated the proper growth and improvement of every single child for a better career prospect. The organization is all set to bring out the potential within each child and provide proper guidance so as to their potentials can be used to make them capable – there are huge challenges in today’s global and highly competitive markets that will be faced by them. We provide full-package of support to improve their communication skills, critical thinking abilities, moral values and sense of responsibility. All efforts are made to improve the creativity and problem solving abilities of the children so that they can contribute their best to the society and the nation.

During the pandemic, we urged the Government of Nepal to timely mobilize the fund set up for control of coronavirus and for relief to the people most affected. In mobilizing the fund, transparency and accountability are equally important. It can be learned from the situation of other countries that identification of suspected coronavirus patients, testing, isolation, and treatment are essential. But Nepal has been still lagging behind in these measures and the lockdown had led to many self- employed people particularly in informal sectors as well as daily wage laborers lost their income. The poor, landless and vulnerable were going to be the ones hardest hit by the critical situation and also production and distribution of food and daily consumables was becoming more and more complex, that moment of time, NMG came up with a relief package in order to save the lives of everyone. As we hope a world to be poverty free and everyone should to lead a qualitative life by enjoying all their basic rights especially children.

Our projects aim at bringing progressive changes in the community keeping the most marginalized families at the center. This is an approach to provide everyone the platform to grow to the fullest narrowing the gap between the rich and the poor. Our main focus has been on education, care for the differently abled children, providing primary health care, vocational training, promoting and protecting child and women rights etc.  We have been spearheading a number of projects for the benefit of those who had no any access or deprived of such basic rights. It is originated for an equitable, healthy and self-reliant society.

I am honored to continue leading the important of this organization. I look forward to the year ahead with the hope, enthusiasm and the highest level of confidence in the leadership of this organization and to make them compatible and make them to realize that how to cooperate with each other and also make them to know that everyone is different and unique so we should respect them all -no one is inferior or superior on it. We should learn from all, everyone has different ability. You can observe, our 22nd year’s track records help to elucidate the elucidations of its difficulties and challenges. We gained the bags of trust and the respect of its locals and also its believability in the global community. It has grown into one of the most transparency, accountability, responsibility and non-discrimination organization; it has been the guiding principles that are reflected in all our actions and projects where our commitment to the people of 77-districts of Nepal. These principles shall continue to monitor us as we strive to change people’s perceptions about poverty and disabilities and press for better changes at the Government policy level.

As a final point, we have definitely tried our level best to create a best of the best organization of Nepal. We believe that our combined efforts would help us to achieve the goals and objectives of organization for which the foundation is founded. As the reason, I am so proud of the dedication of staff and the determination and resilience of the people of this organization and heartfelt thanks to the all well-wishers and the bighearted-supporters who have been contributed their experiences and knowledge and also have been invested their precious time and money.
